Hope this will spread as much as save net neutrality posts
it’s way worse than that law actually, in US they “just” wanted your money, here the EU goverment wants to take our freedom without even giving a choice
SPREAD THIS
I’m just speechless. Dudes, this is wayyyy worse then The Net Neutrality bullshit in the US. Spread this like a wildfire! I don’t wanna lose everything I have thanks to this law!
Oh my gosh why am I only hearing about this now? Please everyone, spread this! Most of the time we talk about problems that are happening in the US but this time it’s in the EU and we need to stand against it!!
Please help if you can it’s going to make so much damage! Just for an example, both of my blogs will disappear if it isn’t stopped, ao3 will also disappear for european countries just like every website like these ones.
So please, help!!
Actually reblogging that one because 1) I checked the original poster and 2) I felt doubt when no french media outlet that wasn’t obviously alt-right dwelved on the subject, so here I go with a list of reasons this post is dead wrong.
1) made by a self-proclaimed fascist with a blog called “Think-critically” whose blog is full of racist, transphobic, fascistic, mysoginist content. Allow me to doubt.
2) the guy in the video is a friend of the EDL. You can see another of his videos from 2 days ago where Tommy Robinson, leader of this islamophobic group which is on numerous hate watch list, supports this channel’s messages.
3) EDRI and Techdirt are also websites associated with the alt-right.
4) From everything I’ve gathered about said article 13. It’s actually meant to stop, block and disable fake news campaigns. Like the ones Russia did in France in 2017, the UK during brexit, Italy, Germany, Poland, etc…. It’s a way to also put responsability on websites that host the information (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook. All 3 having a pretty tulmutuous relationship with European countries (Read: don’t comply with the law and refuse to pay taxes)) as a deterrent to make sure they’re careful during election season (Which, to their credit, they were during the Irish referendum, blocking foreign media outlets). That means
5) The alt-right just got 30k Tumblr users to sign a petition against blocking Russia’s interference in our elections, dressed it up as a brave struggle for freedom (This will END the internet guys. Trust me on this one. They want to destroy it because….. BAD. Not GOOD.) And y'all not checking your damn sources played right into their hands.
In conclusion: Fuck Putin and fuck the Alt-right, go out and vote, check your sources.
The EU are not going to shut the Internet down omg! You just got trolled by the alt right. The only thing in the UK and Dutch press with regards Internet access is over GDPR - which is a good EU regulation designed to protect consumers. If there’s no news about it, then there’s a reason for that???
The English Defence League (EDL) are such a nasty racist bunch of fuckers, and now many tens of thousands of you have just given them and their fascist, xenophobic cronies at places like InfoWars your support because you didn’t spend 5 fucking minutes Googling the truth behind this post.
They deliberately put shit together that sounds legit. Don’t people think anymore??? Read up on something before you mindlessly hit the reblog button! There’s no excuse to not check something out!
Seriously people please research things yourself when you see them. A very quick google search brings up 1 article from a website I’ve never heard of. If international news sites like, to name a few, BBC and Al Jazeera, aren’t reporting it, it is probably not an issue.
(I know I joked about it earlier but, honestly, please do your own research)
If you’re European, in a couple of weeks you will be denied any and all access to fandom contents on Tumblr and everywhere else on the internet. Here’s why.
On June, 20th the JURI of European Parliament approved of the articles 11 and 13 of the new Copyright Law. These articles are also known as the “Link Tax” and the “Censorship Machines” articles.
Articles 13 in particular forces every internet platform to filter all the contents we upload online, ending once and for all the fandom culture. Which means you won’t be able to upload any type of fandom works like fan arts, fan fictions, gif sets from your favourite films and series, edits, because it’s all copyrighted material. And you won’t also be able to share, enjoy or download other’s contents, because the use of links will be completely restricted.
But not everything’s lost yet. There’s another round of voting scheduled for the early days of July.
What you can do now to save our internet, is to share these informations with all of your family members and friends, and to ask to your MEP (the members of the European Parliament from your country) to vote NO at the next round, to vote against articles 11 and 13.
Here you can find more news and all the details to contact your MEP:
So apparently Deadpool 2 just cast
Zazie Beetz
as Domino.
Never thought I’d hope a Deadpool movie flops, but looks like that time has come.
Remember kids, when a “peeohsee” is played by a white person, it’s problematic racism.
When a white person is played by a black person, it’s “progressive and inclusive and diverse”.
Sigh.
Funny how u tagged this “#antisjw” when you must be aware that deadpool is a pansexual feminist, sex-worker-respecting, abuse survivor who would probably punch u in the nose for this post alone.
“Pee Oh See?” That sounds more like what Trump is into than a descriptor of any human being. Your putting it that way shows your profound disrespect for and dehumanization of people of color.
Listen, oppression is when those in power usurp representation from those not in power. Oppression is not when those not in power finally find representation and finally reclaim their personhood.
White people in America are, generally, in power–politically, economically and legally. Therefore, a white person taking media representation away from a person of color is, in fact, oppressive and racist. It helps to perpetuate the delusion that America is all-white and should be all-white; indeed, that people of color shouldn’t even exist. Heck, if POC aren’t even allowed to exist in fiction, then how can they be tolerated in reality?
However, black people and other people of color are not, generally, in power. There are countless documented instances of oppression that we face every day, including unfair treatment by the legal system, unequal sentencing for the same crimes, getting the cops called on us for waiting in a fucking Starbucks, and nigh-invisibility on mainstream media.
Therefore, a person of color finally finding representation in the media is progressive and inclusive and diverse. Because, even after that, they’re still surrounded by more white characters that outnumber them. They’re still in the extreme minority in movies and on television, despite the actual ratio of POC in the general population being much higher. There is clearly still erasure going on. Active, deliberate erasure. By folks like yourself.
That’s why it’s so important that POC find representation in our stories; otherwise, it’s tantamount to a fictional ethnic cleansing, ensuring that in the stories we consume, people of color are few and far between, if they are to be found at all. In some stories, the presence of fantasy creatures like dragons and pixies is portrayed as being more “realistic” and acceptable than the presence of people of color.
I’ve had discussions with white supremacists who became enraged by my headcanon that Hermione Granger is black, and who honestly thought that werewolves and unicorns had more of a right to exist in the Harry Potter universe than a young black girl. Especially a young black girl in a major role, because it was *gasp* destroying the precious social institution of whiteness! (What even?)
That’s why it’s wonderful and groundbreaking and encouraging when, say, an existing character is cast as a person of color despite previously being cast as a white person. It’s just the casting of a fictional character, but the fact that it arouses such hate and resistance from white supremacists shows just how important that casting is.
When race stops being an issue in the casting of fictional characters–when white audience members like yourself stop freaking out that power is being “stolen” from them by a mere fictional character–that’s when casting POC will become a moot point. When POC stop feeling the need for fair and equal representation, then it will become a moot point. But not until then.
And I’m sad to say that it probably won’t happen for a long, long time.
A known character previously cast as white being “replaced” by a character of color doesn’t completely overturn the balance of representation against white people. For every POC that finds representation, odds are that there are many more white people that are cast in POC roles, and that white people in general still disproportionately outnumber POC in movies, TV shows, novels and comics.
For every Domino cast as a person of color, there are many more roles that were originally written as POC that have been re-cast as white. I challenge you to find more examples of the former than of the latter. In fact, I challenge you to find examples of the latter that don’t send a chilling message of erasure to POC, and examples of the former that actually succeed in overturning a white media majority.
You could have just said “it’s okay when WE do it”. A lot less words there.
Let me tell you the difference between you and me. I want my comic book heroes to appear on screen exactly as they are in those pages. If they make another Batman and cast him with Will Smith, I’d have a problem with that. But I’d also have a problem with it if they redid Blade and cast him with Chris Pratt. You’d clearly only have a problem with one of those things, and no matter how big a text wall you make to justify it, it doesn’t mask your hypocrisy.
Let me explain to you why this recent
trend of blackwashing white characters bothers us so much.
These characters are our childhood heroes. They aren’t just characters
in a cartoon or comic book, these are characters we grew up with. They
mean something to us. When we were picked on for being lousy at sports
or playing Pokemon cards, we could always find comfort in our cartoons
and comics. We’re the ones who did chores or got part time jobs to get
the money to buy those comics, we’re the ones who watched every new
episode as they came out on Saturday morning, we’re the ones who maybe
cried when the Teen Titans cartoon was cancelled for no reason. These
characters mean something to us. They are our childhoods.
I don’t know who you are, but I’ll bet any money that you are not the
kind of person I just described. What do they mean to you? Nothing.
These characters aren’t childhood heroes to you, they’re just worthless
props for your damn political agenda.
People like you who don’t understand why this matters so much, why we
actual comic book fans, no matter our race or gender, want to see our
childhood heroes come to life on the big screen. People like you say
“What’s the difference? Race doesn’t matter!”. Yes, race doesn’t matter -
when dealing with each other in the real world as the equal humans we
are. Race does matter when it’s an established character, a childhood
hero, someone we cherish, whether you understand geek culture or not.
Whatever it takes, we want our childhood heroes to come to life, as they
appeared on those comic book pages. They did it for Mystique in X-Men,
they took the extra time to actually make the character spring off the
page, and that’s why those movies are cherished classics. Yes, even the
third one.
I shudder to think of what they’d do with Mystique if they made those movies today. “Bah, she’s blue? You mean I have to pay a practical effects guy!? This is too hard. Let’s just get a sassy black woman in an afro and call it a day, who the fuck cares”. And you know what the sad thing is? Zazie Beetz can act! Strictly speaking of the character’s personality, she nailed it. Would it have been so hard to put chalk white makeup on her (since obviously no human looks like Domino) and make her look right? Cast Zazie, fine, good, who cares, she has the body type and athletic ability, good choice. But why not take the time to actually make a true to life superhero movie?
It’s people like you who sit behind a keyboard, shun comic book fans of ALL races and genders who just want our heroes to be depicted accurately, and say “Lol what’s it matter? You’re a racist omg.”
when people like me speak up and point out the glaringly obvious fact
that Zazie Beetz looks NOTHING
like Domino, or Tessa Thompson looks NOTHING like Valkyrie. Maybe
you’ll hide behind “but we need representation!”, proving you don’t give
a shit about comic books, because if you did then you’d know that
there’s already plenty of ACTUAL black comic book superheroes being ignored by Hollywood, in favor of endless Batman and Spider-Man reboots.
Representation is there. You just haven’t consumed it, because you are
not a comic book fan. Champion for them! Demand Hollywood go into a comic book store and browse! Hell, tell me who I have to contact to get Blade 4 or a reboot to happen, and I’ll send that man letters until the post office tells me to stop. Nobody is trying to “erase you from the media”, jesus tapdancing christ. What we want is for our heroes to come to life.
You sit there and insult me, insult
actual comic book fans, call us all racists, for pointing out something
that any objective person would say. To us, these are our childhood
heroes, cherished memories, and something we always DREAMED we’d maybe
see come to life on the big or small screen… a dream that has been
slapped from our grasp because “diversity” is more important than
actually bringing the character to life. To you, these are just
expendable props that you don’t give a shit about after you’re done
using them to further your fucking sociopolitical agenda. And you call
us all racists for pointing this out, as if that word even means
anything anymore after a decade of overuse. Fuck you and fuck anyone who
has anything to do with you.
Good heavens, this post is massive. I might return for a more detailed rebuttal later, but at this stage, I have only three points to make…
Point 1:
And you know what the sad thing is? Zazie Beetz can act! Strictly speaking of the character’s personality, she nailed it. Would it have been so hard to put chalk white makeup on her (since obviously no human looks like Domino) and make her look right? Cast Zazie, fine, good, who cares, she has the body type and athletic ability, good choice. But why not take the time to actually make a true to life superhero movie?
…DEAR GOD? Dear god. I’ve heard of blackface before, and that’s bad enough, but this is some next level shit. My mind is boggled. Forced whiteface on a person of color to emphasize the importance of the whiteness of the fictional character they’re playing, all in order to soothe the racial panic of an audience of white supremacists? Dear. God.
You yourself said that race should not be more important than, and I quote, “bringing the character to life.” And yet that is precisely what you are emphasizing here–that Domino’s whiteness is more important to you than Domino actually being in-character.
You are implying that a (theoretical) terrible white actress failing to portray Domino’s character accurately would still be preferable to a talented black actress who nails Domino’s characterization.
What I’m saying is that if psychologically and behaviorally accurate characterization is your primary concern, then Domino’s whiteness of skin is an odd thing to be insisting on–unless you think that white and non-white people fundamentally differ in character and psyche. Which is alarming, to say the least. That way lies full-frontal white supremacy. Yikes.
Point 2:
Let me tell you the difference between you and me. I want my comic book heroes to appear on screen exactly as they are in those pages. If they make another Batman and cast him with Will Smith, I’d have a problem with that. But I’d also have a problem with it if they redid Blade and cast him with Chris Pratt. You’d clearly only have a problem with one of those things, and no matter how big a text wall you make to justify it, it doesn’t mask your hypocrisy.
No, but here’s the thing. Owing to the racial inequality of representation in the media, there are many more Batmans than there are Blades, and many more Chris Pratts than there are Will Smiths. What masks your hypocrisy is your attempt to establish a false equivalency between the two types of representation when in fact there is none.
By keeping things as they are, by wanting your comic book heroes to appear racially on-screen exactly as they do in comic books, you are maintaining and continuing an inbuilt imbalance in the comic book industry and in the movie industry, an imbalance that has been there for a long time. You are perpetuating racial inequality and POC erasure.
When a white character is re-cast as, say, black, it is not only progressive but also plays a corrective role in restoring balance to a severely out-of-whack system. That’s why some brave people in the movie industry are trying to make these changes, and why Zazie Beetz was cast as Domino.
You are also conveniently taking advantage of your white privilege based on historical precedent; if no existing white characters can ever be portrayed as non-white, and some of these characters are rooted far back in America’s racist history, then many characters that were cast as the “default” white race in the 1930s will continue onward that way, even if that is no longer an accurate cultural reflection of where America is.
Currently, about 40% of America’s population is non-white, and very soon, a majority will be non-white (source). For a moment, set aside your panic at the incoming Wave Of Color and think about this rationally. Are you saying that a vast majority of American superheroes–including the most key, most important ones to us culturally–have to remain white FOREVER AND EVER AMEN, even if they’re heroes to an increasingly diverse community?
Can Latinos never have a Batman? A Superman? (Especially considering that Superman himself was a migrant–specifically, an immigrant child approaching our planetary “border” and seeking asylum here without being accompanied by any guardians?) Can black people never have a chance to play a superhero originally played by a white actor?
Can people of color never become part of the established “pantheon of gods”–of famous, culturally significant white superheroes that subtextually code virtue, courage, honor, power, skill, and hyper-competency as uniquely white traits?
By this logic, you must find even cosplayers of color to be very offensive. You must be deeply offended by them daring to, say, depict Black Widow as actually black, or daring to dress up as Legolas despite being Chinese. It must really upset you. (I’m not grinning. Let alone grinning maniacally. I swear.)
No matter what you say, your “originalism” or fondness for “the good old days” isn’t about what made those days actually good, but about what made them culturally conservative, racist, sexist, and unequal.
Because what made the old Teen Titans fun to watch wasn’t that they were white, or you’d be equally happy watching a random bunch of white-painted cardboard figures with smiley faces drawn on them. No, what made the Teen Titans fun–whether you want to admit it or not–was the beautiful interplay of the characters, their indomitable team spirit, their snark and their sassiness, and their sheer sense of adventure.
Which brings me to my last point…
Point 3:
Let me explain to you why this recent trend of blackwashing white characters bothers us so much. These characters are our childhood heroes. They aren’t just characters in a cartoon or comic book, these are characters we grew up with. They mean something to us. When we were picked on for being lousy at sports or playing Pokemon cards, we could always find comfort in our cartoons and comics. We’re the ones who did chores or got part time jobs to get the money to buy those comics, we’re the ones who watched every new episode as they came out on Saturday morning, we’re the ones who maybe cried when the Teen Titans cartoon was cancelled for no reason. These characters mean something to us. They are our childhoods.
There is something very strange going on here. You are assuming that these characters were not our childhood heroes, too. (Uh, my childhood heroes.)
You are assuming that I didn’t watch the same weekend and after-school cartoons as you did, and that I didn’t buy the same comic books, and that I didn’t cry like a broken fire hydrant when my favorite character died. (DO NOT TALK TO ME ABOUT JASON TODD’S DEATH. EVER. EVER.)
You’re making an exceedingly peculiar (read: racist) connection between whiteness and being a superhero fan. Which is, er. Not only inaccurate, but bizarre. Are you honestly saying that non-white people never did chores or part-time jobs in order to pay for their favorite comics? Where did we get our comics from, then? The heavens? (Like Superman! He came from up there, afer all!)
Sadly, I can only say to you that comics and movies did not rain down on me from above. God, I wish they did. But they didn’t. And they don’t. I have to work just as hard as you–if not more, given the racial bias inherent in income inequality–to be able to afford collecting merchandise or attending a con or, like, buying movie tickets.
C’mon, how did you think I was doing it? I don’t have superpowers. (Although, admittedly, geek superpowers that gave me endless free comics and movie tickets would be very, very cool. If there’s any geeky radioactive spider out there, all I can say is… Bite me. Please.)
Ahem. Back to the original topic and away from my wishful thinking…
I don’t know who you are, but I’ll bet any money that you are not the kind of person I just described.
Actually, I am. Unless by “the kind of person” you mean non-white, in which case, yep, I’m definitely not white. However, if by “the kind of person” you mean a geek, then that I definitely am. My superheroes are my lifeblood. Cut me and I shall bleed Batchildren. (That’s a disturbing mental image, actually. Please do not contact Batman. He’ll have me locked away in Arkham. And justifiably so.)
What do they mean to you? Nothing. These characters aren’t childhood heroes to you, they’re just worthless props for your damn political agenda.
Methinks the white supremacist with a political agenda doth protest too much.
These characters are so important to us fans of color that we go to cons, we buy their merch, we write endless pages of fanfiction and we draw fanart of all sorts, including fanart in which *shocked gasp* an initially white character may actually be depicted as white!
We work hard and spend hard for our heroes, even if the media often quashes our dreams and refuses to diversify its representation of them, and even if white people like yourselves insist that we have no place in fandom solely because of the color of our skins, and that we cannot be “real” fans because we aren’t white. We continue being fans despite racially-motivated gatekeepers insisting that we can’t.
We dedicate our time, our borderline religious devotion, and our hard-earned money to our superheroes, even if, on the off-chance that one of them is actually played by an actor of color, white supremacists will insist that the actor of color whiteface themselves for the supremacists’ convenience.
Even after all that, we still don’t give up on the characters that matter to us. That’s how much we love them.
How much do you love them? So much that their characterization takes a back seat to their skin color remaining white? Ask yourself that.
The truth is, nobody has to be white to be a “true” fan or a “true” geek. Yes, you got picked on for it, but we did, too. Believe me–as a geek and a nerd and a queer and a brown person? I faced some sort of quadruple threat of bullying. At school, I was on literally every bully’s radar for at least one of those reasons, if not all of those reasons, and my being a comic book fan only amped my bullying up to the max. There were days I came home with bruises, man.
Listen, bullying sucks for all of us. Getting our asses whooped ain’t fun regardless of whether our asses are white or black (or, as in my case, brown). Ass-whoopings are bad in general. And I commiserate with you, my friend, I truly do. I sympathize. But your experiences as an alienated geek are not uniquely white. And you are not somehow a truer fan for your whiteness, any more than I am a truer fan for my brownness. That hasn’t got anything to do with it.
Dedication, though? Love? Maybe even obsession? Yeah, that has plenty to do with it. And we fans of color wouldn’t be so earnest and well-informed in our discourse about equal representation if we weren’t real fans. We wouldn’t just be able to pull this stuff out of our (thoroughly whooped) asses.
Somewhere along the line, we had to actually have read this stuff. Or watched this stuff. Somewhere along the line, we came across our favorite stories about our favorite heroes, and we fell in love with them. Just like you did.
Tumblr’s at it again, thanks to the new European Privacy Laws. There’s probably nobody who will read this, but it pissed me off so much that I decided to make a post about it. (Ignore the weird language mish-mash, depending on your country the language might differ.)
OK, so many of us get this screen when we try to access our dash:
Realise how the ‘OK’ button is a nice, attention-grabbing blue? If you’re like me, you’re not exactly into reading a 100 pages document and tend to just click it.
My tip? DONT. Instead click on ‘Manage Options’ right next to it:
Now you’ll see this page:
Still pretty harmless, right? That ‘Accept’ button is looking really attractive right now. Instead, click on Verwalten (Probably something like ‘Manage Options’ or something in english) and you’ll get to this page:
Now that’s not too bad, right? I just switched all the buttons to ‘off’, because I’m jealously guarding my personal information and don’t want Tumblr to go off and do who knows what with it. Looks like we’re done! But wait: There’s a SHOW option.
When we click on that one, what we will get is this:
A HUGE list with OVER 300 ENTRIES of companies that can use your data by default if you’d just clicked ‘OK’ on that very first page. Coincidence that this list is hidden that much? Me thinks not. They’re all switched on by default, but I am still a petty bitch that doesn’t want to give out her data, so I switched them all off. All 300+ of them. There is no option to switch them all off at once, and even if you disable all the options above, the companies are still switched on.
(If you wonder how i got that number, I copied the list into excel and looked at the cell number. No way am I actually counting all those entries)
I too, am a petty bitch who unticked every single one.
so remember that worldbuilding website, notebook.ai, that was goin around and everyone was so excited, but it turned out you had to pay a (frankly outrageous) subscription to access any of the best tools?
In Japan, land of quirky customs, quirky inventions and even quirkier homes,
some warm up in winter using what looks like a cross between a low
table, futon, reclining couch and a comforter. It’s called a kotatsu, and there’s a special heater built in underneath the table that warms the extremities of all who gather ‘round it. Or even sleep under it, as this writer recounts during her first winter in Japan.
And apparently, it can lower heating bills too, as Martin Frid explains on these pages some years ago:
Sitting by the kotatsu
heating table, under a thick blanket, is still the way for entire
families to keep warm on winter evenings. Rather than heating up the
entire house, the cosy kotatsu is a comfortable way to spend a couple of
hours together, with a much lower energy bill by the end of the month.
I’ve seen so much anime that a kotatsu just seems like a normal, everyday thing… even if I’ve never seen one IRL. Kinda made me confused to see it referred to as “a wacky invention.”
yeah it took me a really long time to process that a kotatsu wouldn’t be common knowledge in the west until i remembered that not everyone was a fucking weeaboo in middle school like i was
hey!! sorry to hijack this post, but there are a bunch of ways you can make videogames without knowing shit about computers!!
for starters, there’s Twine, which is fucking great for making all kinds of interactive experiences (it’s what Crystal Warrior Ke$ha was made in so you KNOW it’s good) at all skill levels (i picked it up and made a game in two minutes a few nights ago)
if you want a bit more involved experience there’s Inform 7 which is a simple language for text-based adventure games that reads like slightly-weird English and also relatively easy to learn
you can do some pretty fucking cool stuff with Unity (my personal engine of choice) but you may need to dig a bit farther to get at the good stuff. there’s lots of really good presets though (i made an entire game just mixing and matching pre-existing templates and adding in my own art, won an award at a game jam for that one) and if you want help the community’s pretty dang friendly from what i’ve seen!
this is just a taste of what’s out there from what i’ve seen, but there’s so many cool resources out there. if anyone wants help getting started, i’m around to give you a leg up on making something in the coolest, most unexplored art medium around!
I’m addin’ to this post because lowering the barrier to entry for making games is super important to me!!!! If y’all have any questions about making games, you’re welcome to come and ask! I made this list a while back with some friends, so it has some of the programs John already mentioned.

hey tumblr,,, i know it’s not as big of a deal to you because it’s not america,,, but canada is having a net neutrality battle too
I think we’d all really appreciate if you signal boost content that explains all of this. We need help! There are more people in California than in all of Canada, but we still need to fight off big corporations like Bell, Shaw, Rogers, Telus and Cineplex, who are trying to steal our net neutrality. The likelihood that this goes through has nothing to do with it, we need to show our government that THIS ISN’T OKAY. THAT WE CARE ABOUT OUR NET NEUTRALITY! C'MON!
CONGRATULATIONS, everybody! We only have 10 days to fight the FCC & the repeal of #NetNeutrality!
Thanks to John Oliver there’s a SUPER easy way to do this Do you enjoy Netflix? Do you find yourself spending too much time on FB? If net neutrality goes away, our Internet bills go up and we give power to companies like Comcast and Spectrum.
Here’s what you can do - takes less than a minute: 1. Go to gofccyourself.com (the shortcut John Oliver made to the hard-to-find FCC comment page) 2. Click on the 17-108 link (Restoring Internet Freedom) 2. Click on “express” 3. Be sure to hit “ENTER” after you put in your name & info so it registers. 4. In the comment section write, “I strongly support net neutrality backed by Title 2 oversight of ISPs.” 5. Click to submit, done. - Make sure you hit submit at the end! **Feel free to share this**
A depressed guy moves into a haunted house with 7 demons, each corresponding to a deadly sin. But, they’re all trying to help him get back on his feet; Pride helps with self confidence, Lust helps him get laid, etc.
I would watch the crap outta this like wow
Envy: “Glut, back off the guy, okay?”
Gluttony: “I’m just saying he could stand to gain a few pounds! I made spaghetti!”
Sloth: “After we eat, it’s gonna be time for a nice nap. We’ve earned it!”
Pride: “Damn right we did!”
Just imagine the Catholic Church making a statement regarding this new tv show.
Wrath does nothing but encourage him to punch assholes.
“You deserve better! That was YOUR parking space!”
“He’s like three hundred pounds of muscle, Wrath.”
“And you are 165 pounds of RAGE!”
Wrath’s advice isn’t great, but he means well.
Greed spends his days trying to help him manage his budget and put money on the side
“Bro check this out i’ve got the sickest retirement plan, technically it’s tax evasion i guess but fuck those guys, right?”
Last Wednesday, FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler announced a proposal for new rules that would allow for a “ fast lane” of Internet traffic for content providers who are willing (and able) to pay a fee. [1] The proposal reverses the FCC’s previous commitment to net neutrality and open internet and allows ISP’s like Comcast or Verizon to slow down and censor services that don’t pay the toll.
We have to be totally honest, this situation is seriously grim. But there is still hope. The FCC already knows that the Internet community wants net neutrality, but they think they can put their spin on these new rules and sneak them through. If we can prove them wrong right now with a massive public outcry, we can literally save the Internet once again.
We need to stop the FCC now. Big business groups are already ramping up lobbying efforts with the FCC in swarms since Wednesday’s announcement in support of censoring the open Internet and to ensure this dangerous proposal moves forward. [2]
This is a critical moment. In the last few weeks more than 65,000 people have taken action with us. Can you help us get to 80,000 by the end of the day today?
we’re almost ¾ of the way there!! c’mon guys, every bit counts!
will it ever stop
fucking signal boost
IF YOU ARE NOT SIGNAL BOOSTING THIS YOU ARE NOT PAYING ATTENTION.
IF THE U.S. FALLS TO THIS IT WILL OPEN OTHER DANGEROUS DOORS INTERNATIONALLY.
Start a civil war against the US government.
Signal boost for my us followers
I try to keep the things I reblog as blog/mun-centric as possible, but this is something I just can’t let slide.
I’ve been following this cause since last year. I’ve signed petitions, I’ve called representatives, I’ve been to protests, the whole nine yards.
This right here? This is not a joke. This is seriously happening, guys.
Remember the Wikipedia shutdown? That was to protest this right here. If you haven’t taken action against this yet, frankly, what is wrong with you? If this doesn’t get stopped, we’re going to lose the thing that brings us all together unless we shell out huge sums of cash to these corrupt bastards.
Do not just sit there and keep browsing.
Do not scroll past this.
